lmao yeah I heard that Shyamalan had to pitch this as weakly related but oops I didn't know the relation was the twist of the movie. the whole thing works perfectly fine without the connection at all it's just kinda tacked on there,
but with Glass being named after y'know, Mr. Glass and prominently featuring Sam Jackson
I take it the next one is as direct as it gets
maybe I spoiled myself by knowing, but I can't imagine seeing that reveal and getting like a mind-blown reaction because it doesn't feel relevant for this movie, it's more like an MCU post-credits scene about hyping up the next one
though didn't expect
the movie to end with the beast getting away, but then i guess that's the only way to actually set-up a face-off for the sequel. kinda makes this feel like a long set-up then, but hey it had more going on than Unbreakable in the first place which was more of a really good 30 minutes story stretched over 2 hours
also anya taylor-joy looks so much younger after seeing The Menu, I don't think I was really aware of the actress before Mario.
