Already nominated!Yeah sorry I meant Divination Seance, brain fart.
Walking
Or are you referring to just the ability to do this, period, and you being sad that it was removed in favor of just having regular evidence to streamline things? Because obviously, that's bad.Yeah I nominated the ability to do that, but I also nominated it because I'm sad they removed it. :( Glad you think it's great though.

13I'm not familiar with this one so I looked it up and huh, it's by Jason Robert Brown? How interesting. I do like one of his works. Also its Broadway run had a cast and band made up of wholly teenagers which is crazy to me. And it has a movie adaptation so maybe I'll watch that one of these days.
In The HeightsAnd THIS is probably my biggest blind spot in contemporary musical theater. I even rented the movie version on YouTube once and didn't get to watch it before I ran out of time. I'll watch it one day, just have paciencia y fe.
CarrieFunnily enough I did watch this one live. It was a community production, by the same community that made Next to Normal. But I barely remember anything about it, so yeah. I actually remember more things about it from Waiting in the Wings' video on it. It's such a wild ride. The costume designer allegedly misheard "Grease" (the musical) as "Greece" and made togas and stuff instead of cool youthful street look. And they had a big white stair for some reason. Really wacky stuff.
so no i don't think that really counts since she'd have been, like, 12I mean the wording on the topic title is 'laid eyes' which I take as 'physically see', so it's likely I've seen her character on the episode even if I didn't know it at the time.
But it says "upcoming," bro, these kinds of things never actually get released. Also I haven't actually checked it in like a year or so and I'm not surprised it's not released yet lol. It had pretty detailed and, IMO, pretty interesting characters and even had short voiced video introductions of them back in the day.
It's his means that are complex (why did he shoot the dog, again?), not his motives.Yeah this is a great succinct way to put it.
999 just has that classic anime look, and VLR looks dumb and way too wacky, but it at least has its own little aesthetic going on, I suppose. ZTD looks like any other random game, but terrible.I was really surprised when they first revealed that first image of Diana and Sigma, it looks so dark and serious after ZTD's free hanging tatas and cavewoman Clover. But it did make everyone look like free default character models that come with a game engine.
CatsCats is a guilty pleasure of mine. I think my first time fully watching it was the movie though. We had a community showing here and my theater community got invited. People were baffled lol.
(original show not that horrifying movie)
The Book of MormonOh man, Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, and Matt Stone hit it out of the park with this one.
Come From AwayOh man, I really love this musical. I love its message of finding the best in humanity even amidst one of the worst tragedies in modern history. I've always loved stories about communities like this. And I love the story behind its production as well. It's just amazing that they got to perform in Gander, with many of the real people behind the story in the audience.
We honor what we lost but we also commemorate what we found
Operation MincemeatThis has been making waves in the UK theater scene and it might be the next great show, or at least an enduring classic. I haven't actually listened to the album the whole way through but I've listened to a few of them. I hope there'll be a proshot of the show in the near future, or even better, I hope I'll get to see it live!
next to normalI've actually watched this live! A community theater put it on back in like 2019. The founder (who played Diana in the musical) recently got in trouble with the police because of several ticket concert scams but there's neither here nor there.
Singin in the RainWhat a classic!
Xeno
HeathersAh, Heather, Heather, Heather, and Heather. One of my biggest blind spots regarding contemporary musical theater.
Frozen IIOh man, the story behind the development of this movie is just so fascinating. Apparently they still don't know who the voice calling Elsa is until, like, two months before premiere or something wild like that.
Razia's ShadowReally interesting!
Recording began in October 2007 with Rudy Gajadhar recording drums. Due to budget limitations, Thomas elected to primarily use software for the orchestral parts rather than hiring musicians. More than half of the guest vocalists were recorded in person, while the remainder of the vocalists were sent electronic files with Thomas singing their parts. The vocalists then recorded their parts and returned them electronically.
TwistedProbably StarKid's best production to date (I've only watched a few though). It's ambitious, it's hilarious, and it's got a very strong message at its heart.
[JA'FAR, spoken]
Oh! Pardon me, madam
[BELLE]
Oh, that's alright. Just try to keep your fat face out of that motherfucking book
Something RottenI haven't actually watched this one in full but I'm decently familiar with it.
The Greatest ShowmanAhh The Greatest Showman. I'll always be thankful to it for introducing a lot more people to musicals, but man it's just... Very formulaic. Like it's the pinacle of Hollywood musicals. Everything is just perfectly tuned for the general audience to love it. It's not really taking chances.
No, no, no, no, nooooo
Ladies and gents, I'm not a guy that's worth cheering for
This ain't historical!
I owned a slave I killed six whales
gave a monkey a fish tail
the whole movie's untrue
plus I don't look like Hugh
No! He was an average Joe!
South Park movieOh, I love it. I had slight reservations about it since I don't watch South Park and I only knew it as a crass, edgy cartoon. Well, it is a crass, edgy musical movie but man the songs slap.
They may cut your dick and half!
And serve it to a pig!
And though it hurts, you'll laugh
And dance a dickless jig
But that's the way it goes
In war, you're shat upon, though you die
La Resistance lives on!
WickedOh boy, what to say about Wicked that hasn't been said?
Man
Larry, Curly, and Moe
