Oh trust me, I threw everything I had at those things, although it took me a while to beat the first one I faced because I didn't realize you could destroy its arms.

The shield is actually crazy useful against those guys since you can absorb their machine gun fire to convert it to energy for the Megaton Hammer. Of course you don't really fight that many once you actually have the shield...
Well, the shield only converts to energy after the first upgrade, which I just got, so hopefully, it will become more useful!
Fought the second big boss of the game. He was pretty easy since he was basically just a huge version of those crazy junk heap Conduits. It was still a fun fight though, cool atmosphere.
Seems like the game's coming down to the wire, so I'm guessing my time in the Historic District won't be very long. I got 98% clear in the Warren, too, just one more mission to go there, if I can figure out how to activate it. The plot's starting to get crazy. Having a hard time figuring out what's what.
Zeke turned out to be exactly what I thought he would from the beginning though.
Although one thing I will say is that the climbing mechanics in this game kind of annoy me. Cole is like a magnet whenever it comes to climbing, so sometimes I'll try to jump somewhere, and he'll automatically start gravitating toward something closer. It's especially a pain when you want to drop from a building, because he will try to grab every ledge on the way down (which is why Thunder Drop exists, I guess).
Also, what is it with western games and making their characters averse to climbing ladders? It always seemed like Altair and Ezio could never quite hone in on ladders whenever I played Assassin's Creed unless I approached them slowly, and Cole doesn't seem to like climbing ladders either.

I played a 3ds today for the first time. first impression on approximately 75 seconds of gameplay: wow, the slide pad is really awful. I bet you get used to it but for someone who's used to just tilting the analog stick lightly, it was pretty jarring. 3d is pretty much as expected.
Oh hey, a moral choice that's actually difficult to make in this game! Although I'm not entirely sure why either option is considered "bad." I wasn't even sure which choice the game was going to consider good, but I ultimately picked the "good" option anyway. I wasn't even sure which building had which on it, so it was almost an accident, but whatever.
I'm definitely getting close to the end. The rest of the sidequests have opened up in the Historic District, so I'll tackle those tomorrow and hopefully beat the game.
Oh, and I got the final power of the game. Holy crap, that thing is awesome.

There is no possible way that the slide pad can be worse than the PSP's analog nub, and I was able to put up with that, so the slide pad sounds good to me.
I actually fiddled with a 3DS for the first time in Best Buy last weekend, and I completely forgot to try out the slide pad. I was too busy trying to get the right angle to see the 3D.
From: RayDyn | #314 Just so you know Leon, either way has the same result, it's just the number of bodies that changes.
Well, yeah, I know it wouldn't have changed a whole lot, but it's a lot better compared to some of the other "morality choices" the game throws at you.

Soooo should i get a PS3 Slim or an Xbox 360 and can i swap out HDDs with a Slim, its kind of a shame, it was a nicely souped up 500GB HDD for the phat one.
"Without specifying specific sales numbers, the graphs show the Xbox 360 selling roughly twice as many online-capable games as the PS3 in 2010, and roughly seven times as many such games as the Wii for the year."
"Retailers also sold nearly four times as many Xbox 360 digital points cards than PS3 cards in 2010, according to NPD's data, and point card sales for both systems easily outpaced those on the Wii for the year. The data doesn't take into account digital currency purchased directly through the systems themselves."
"The NPD data also unsurprisingly shows sales for motion-controlled games increasing significantly between April 2010 and April 2011, after the release of the PlayStation Move and Xbox 360 Kinect controllers."
Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed II Braid, The Witness Fable, Black and White (didn't notice until after I gave up!) Flow, flower, Journey Gears of War, Jazz Jackrabbit (computer didn't accept my answer because of wrong spelling) Gran Turismo Minecraft Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive Phoenix Wright, Ghost Trick Rez, Child of Eden Shadow Complex, Infinity Blade Street Fighter, Darkstalkers Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong (answer is spelled incorrectly) Symphony of the Night, Dawn of Sorrow (again, misspelling) Tactics Ogre, Vagrant Story, FFT (argh, should've looked at this one more carefully!) Zelda series (again, I think I was accidentally misspelling the answer) TWEWY, Kingdom Hearts (...WHAT DO YOU MEAN NOMURA IS MORE THAN JUST AN ART DESIGNER???) Xenogears, Xenosaga, Xenoblade
Beat inFamous. That was...some ending. Managed to finish all the sidequests and got 100% in all three districts. Got all the "Good" powerups completely maxed out, too.

I always find it funny when people plan these video game trilogies, or they have a certain number of games planned out. Either the sales suck so the series never gets off the ground(Advent Rising, Shenmue), or the sales are so good, the market demands you just keep making them(Halo, Mass Effect, wouldn't put it past Epic Games or Naughty Dog to keep make sequels to their highly-successful third-person shooter franchises). I remember in '07 with Halo 3 it was like "THIS IT IS! THE FINALE! THE END OF HALO!" and we've had a Halo game released every year since, and they now have a SECOND trilogy of games planned out already.

It will launch for $350 with some Wii Sports s***. I bet my life on it. Damn, that KoolAid guy is awesome - NGamer64
I don't see why. Trilogies are planned out for story purposes, not for the number of games to be made. Once the current story finishes, they can make a whole new cast with a new threat in a different time.
Playing inFAMOUS now. Fun game, although some parts of it are really dumb. And as someone who picks the good path in every game, this world is trying my patience, good lord.
The good thing with inFamous is that you can still wreak havoc and destroy a bunch of stuff, and you can still end up with full positive karma. I've also killed a bunch of innocent civilians in firefights with Reapers, and it's all fine.
