How time consuming is it? Cause epicmafia games only last like 10 minutes.

Well, a typical day of B8 mafia lasts 48 hours <_< On the bright side, you don't have to be there the entire time

B8 Mafia and epicmafia are light-years apart. B8 Mafia games last like two weeks.

I guess I was just worried about the commitment thing.

If I can just pop in to check up on it now and then it'd be cool.

epicmafia is quick and not very good quality

b8 mafia is long and usually cerebral

Well, it depends on the situation in-game and how often 'now and then' is, but if you don't post at least a couple of times every (game) day, you'll probably be lynched for it.

As a general rule of thumb, if you can devote an hour or so a day and then just check in whenever else you're at the computer and have the time, you should be set for forever

You really shouldn't consider it as "you'll be lynched for it". You should want to post multiple times per day because you enjoy playing and are engaged in some sort of strategy, either alignment.

I was stating a minimum. If you enjoy playing, you should strive to post more than just a couple of times in the day, but that's not what I was referring to.

epicmafia is a site where mafia is played over something similar to IRC, with a computer program controlling everything

The way they handle things are stupid and the players are generally terrible

The last game of epic mafia I played, one player claimed vig, and another countered, We lynched the original player and he flipped vig, we then the next day lynched the counter and he flipped Town Vanilla


needless to say that was the last straw
