I want my guard dog to actually guard, not hide like a bitch.
My dog actually managed that very well without his balls.
Chased off a couple break-ins, killed a mouse(and would attack other mice if he saw them; this included bugs). Hell, he'd practically attack the mail everytime it came through the slot.
But around people he was super timid and friendly.
