He's wrong anyway though. The intended meaning of my sentence, in which I did use both words correctly, was "He finds a way to make even the most ordinary conversations tiresome."

I disagree that mundane is meant to carry a negative connotation. It can, but it doesn't have to. It's just a synonym for ordinary/common. And it is not a synonym for dull. It often carries the implication that something is dull, but many times where you would otherwise use dull it wouldn't make sense to replace it with mundane.

Idk if he posts something more than three sentences I read the first sentence and decide if I want to read anymore. 99% of the time I don't. I didn't read any of his last post to me because it's a book about "how do you know people here don't like you if you're only using your own personal experience?" which makes no god damn sense.
