It definitely feels like wanting public attention, and to have a story to tell to friends & family later, about how they personally honored a "fallen hero/heroine"


I once played a sad song on the sax at some random person's roadside grave and then bragged about it afterward. This story reminds me of that. It's just attention whoring.
