Absurd gatekeeping, god forbid someone identify that they have a very poor and detrimental relationship with alcohol before they, say, get arrested for a DUI or put others in harm's way. It doesn't take a catastrophic or traumatic event to trigger that. Not everyone's "rock bottom" looks the same and it's a dangerous mentality to try to compare as such between people with addictions.
