Honestly if you boil down each word to it's actually meaning the words are not bad at all. However society has made these words "bad words" so they are not that acceptable. Even more so some of the extreme ones. Although I really don't understand why "the c-word" is worse than any other name for female genitalia.

I think its the way people use them. The words themselves probably arent bad, but have been used that way. Though it could be how they were use when they were made. Like I think someone talked about the origins of the word fuck and I think it kind of explains why its a bad word...

People convey thoughts and feelings through words. So we invent bad words to express them.

Words share ideas. Some ideas can elicit extreme emotional responses in people. You don't have a right to force extreme emotional responses in people by using vulgar language to/around them. Thats why fighting words laws exist.

These words are not the same in all cultures, but its not about the words, rather the ideas associated with them.
