You are right. I wasn't really reading what you said because it's all babbling to me. It was a simple example of how easy $800 can come by. I do not understand people like you who thinks $800 is for rich people. If you can't even afford $800 then may be just play cheaper games.
If you dont have other bills, maybe $800 is simple to come by. Its not that $800 is for rich people. But thats a big purchase to most people. Most people dont have $800 of play money a month. I dont understand you who thinks that people who pay bills and stuff will always just have $800 to do whatever with. Its easy to come by $800. But it doesnt matter if you month rent is bills is about twice as much. And that makes ok sense to say if you cant afford $800, just play cheaper games. It just sounds like you either have no responsibilities, or you have much more money than the average person...
You realize you can set some money aside right? Even if you don't have $800 per month of play money if you have say $150-200 of play money saving up for 4 months gets you that $800. It's not like you need to buy a PC every 4 months or something it's a purchase most make ever 3-4 years or longer.

I know. But he way they were talking about it in the first post made it sound like you should be able to get it in the first month, even if all you had was a minimal wage, part-time job.

You ARE able to get that much money in one month part time. You just added a bunch of irrelevant expenses that has nothing to do with the post at all.
Anywhere with a $15 an hour min wage (more places then you would think)
and you could pretty much get a new comp in 2 months working 3 days a week (24 hours a week).
Taxes are pretty much non-existant at that rate (15*24=360 a week or $1440 a month).
After taxes (less then 10%) you still net $1300 take home.
Must rent a room ($500 is a good medium cost here, it's available everywhere (Even hawaii and Brooklyn/Cali...just REALLY good deals there).
Avoid massive expenses and eat for $50 a week. Aim for a total cost per month of $800.
That leaves $500 in savings per months......you can get a new computer in 2 months that way (and if you have a credit card of any type, get it right away and pay it off in 2 months).
If you can't even afford $800 then may be you should just play low end games.

Because most people have those expenses. It's not like only a few people pay rent and bills. And depending on where you live, you would get enough taxes taken out that you probably wouldn't even make that $800. As that minimun wage part time job gets you about $880. And you would probably get at least $100 taken out for taxes. So probably not...

And most people also don't just work part time at minimum wage. All of those are totally irrelevant.
That's if you have enough time and money already. If you don't have enough money, that's why you would get the second job... And that's if you get enough hours...
If he's looking for a new pc then that means he has money on the side.

What the fuck are you even talking about? He is already paying his current expenses with whatever means he's currently employing, is he not? If he's looking for a new pc then that means he has money on the side.
PCs arent like consoles, bro.
Consoles are like that p2w armor you get from an MMO.
PCs are something you get one piece at a time. Like the video card, screen, motherboard, etc. You dont buy it all in one shot unless you have money like that. Instead you acquire a piece at a time, through hard work at your job. Week after week. Like those rare and untradeable godly pieces of armor in an MMO.
In the end, the PC will be worth more than the console, and much more powerful.
And then all those pieces are obsolete when you finally get every single piece. That's gonna happen no matter what
That's gonna happen no matter what
The price of pcs is why I just went back to console gaming.
so you just pay couple hundred for a console, couple hundred for an average computer, a bit extra on games, and then a bit more for online to play multiplayer? nice savings.
Yep. Always laughed up at people saying you can build a pc that can run anything current and future at high settings for like $500. They are spreading misinformation. Getting peoples hopes up.

Well the advantage consoles has over PC is no Denuvo. So worth having a console if you can afford it for those games.
$800 is expensive? You get that doing a month of part time at minimum wage.
