No. All Persona games
are
set in the same universe but are so wholly separate from one another that theres barely any connections to previous games. The only links to previous titles in Persona 5 is extremely minor references to party members from Persona 4, those being Risette is an idol you will see on banners in Persona 5 and there will be some minor comments regarding a boy detective, Naoto, both of whom were party members in Persona 4.
Its completely unimportant to the plot that you would know this and its never highlighted in any way. Its more of an Easter egg for anyone whos played the previous title.
