even though the statement is true, it has become so common as to be reductionist, and is usually used as an excuse to bow out of thinking about things. I'm sure some people mean it sincerely, so I won't judge them too hard if they can actually articulate some thoughts behind it. I hate both parties. I like the Republicans more because they tend to be simply ineffective in comparison to the Democrats who actively hold and strive for things I disagree immensely with.

We live in a society rife with class inequality in which the wealthy lord over the common man and stifle any attempts for them to grow beyond their means while regulating them to poverty. They advocate for minimum wage increases while increasingly shipping jobs overseas to take advantage of slave labor and opposing bills that attempt to end such practices. They talk about social healthcare without questioning if the expenses in place should even exist regardless of social or private healthcare. I've got a ton of issues with both parties but more with the left than right... But that doesn't mean I like the right either as they're a bunch of ingrade idiots who can't even go 'it's wrong to force people to wear masks but you SHOULD be wearing one and it's not some damned conspiracy to make us all submit to islam or whatever the crazy crackpots are shouting!' Instead it's a choice between 'YOU SHOULD WEAR TWO MASKS EVEN WHEN IN YOUR OWN HOME!' and 'I REFUSE TO WEAR A MASK BECAUSE I'M AN INCONSIDERATE JERKWAD HIDING BEHIND FREEDOM!'.

I feel you, but I feel like you're using a lot of 'their' talking points, IE media, Democratic, Republican. Anything bad I see the Democrats do, I see the Republicans doing even moreso (cheap overseas slave labor, never ever considering healthcare, deregulation, supporting the right to discriminate, overseas bombing).

I just think there's too much awful stuff to keep in check with the Republicans. The Democrats will try to help the disadvantaged in their own conceited ways, and will maintain the status quo. I see pushing for better as far, far easier under Dems than Republicans.

If nothing else Trump was really effective in promoting terrorists.
