Changing a product to appeal to an audience that may not have cared about your product previously and holds no obligation to like it while potentially alienating a huge portion of your customer base and broadcasting a desire to pander is usually a poor decision-making process.
I don't believe that 'getting woke' makes a product bad so much as it is the thought process, management, and goal behind it that ruins it.
