We get thunderstorms in Texas but Im not used to them filling the forecast for several weeks we went from needing rain to getting so much rain that flooding has become an issue and it just wont stop for more than a few days

Its not so bad. You get use to it. Theres barely any drainage system, so water just piles up. Apparently, the ground is really hard, which is why a majority of the houses, if not all, dont have basements. Its also makes it hard to get a good drainage system or underground metro (or something similar)...

Texas always has crazy weather. I lived there in the mid 90s and literally every single year people were like omg the weather is so crazy this year

Well yeah youre right there in tornado alley where warm and cold fronts are constantly colliding, so things are gonna get wild
