Yaknow, it says 'over 2 hours of special features'... but if just one of those features is director's commentary then, like, that's just one feature :b

75. Today that is CAD $128.09, or $105.77 for you. Although it wont have fluctuated much from a couple days ago.
Didnt this version include the banned or lost extended clip of the possessed crew doing naughty stuff?
Anyways you got your hands on a very rare version, I think this edition was released in 2006 if Im not mistaken. Underrated and way better than Prometheus, Alien Covenant, and all identity/emotional sci-fi crap released nowadays.

Prometheus is one of my favourites also. But yeah, I feel like the 80s and 90s did better justice for this style of movie.

Would that scene be just included in the main movie? Ill have to look into that.
People praise it like this visionary film now, but I mostly remember people not liking it when it came out.

Same sort of deal with Fifth Element.

Cool packaging, but honestly I was never a fan of the film.

Yeah, I guess it has started to get a bit of a cult following.

idk, that always had about the same number of people liking it. Fifth Element was cool for what it was, but it's pretty niche.

Well its hardly a masterpiece by any stretch of the imagination, but it builds up tension really well, has some surprisingly impressive visuals, great actors, likeable characters and creepy soundtrack. Kind of loses its plot in the second half but overall entertaining nonetheless.
Id definitely recommend it to people who enjoy good bad sci-fi horror films.

@zebatov not my intention to shit on a film you like but I was just personally disappointed by how the film turned out.

I mean I like that movie, I've liked it ever since I watched it like 10 years ago. But it's not like high art or anything. I like it because it's bad.

I could never get into The Fifth Element. I really tried. When I first saw it, I went into it thinking it was a serious movie, but it ended up being mostly silly.

@Red04

I know. I was just saying that its one of my favourites and I still think Event Horizon is better (more agreeing with you about Event Horizon). I like the visuals/colour more than anything else in Prometheus, anyways.

What did you think of Covenant? I was disappointed they didnt do a Prometheus 2 originally.
What did you think of Covenant? I was disappointed they didnt do a Prometheus 2 originally.

I was hoping that Covenant would do some Prometheus script damage control by fleshing out aspects like what the goo was all about, who the engineers were, what exactly happened to Shaw and why (instead of that quick scene effectively ruining her character arc) and what Davids intentions were.
It doesnt have to be straight up explained but at least give away a hint to a more coherent direction.
Instead it was one loose end after another, completely unnecessary scenes that dragged out for way to long (semi-erotic android flute lesson)
and a half-hearted attempt to cater to Alien fans with the final act.
The films are visually striking but in terms of storytelling theres no effective ambiguity (Alien) and no payoff that follows. Just zilch.
Anyways just my two cents.

eh, it's just shitty sci-fi with a bit of bad humor

but I like crap like that
Cool movie
great exemple of great cinema
.
The name sounds familiar but I don't recall if I've seen it.

After a google search, I think I have seen it, but I remember very little. Something about FTL travel and a bunch of space ghosts or something (no, not THAT Space Ghost)
