no Ive been so bored with games lately. cant get into god of war ragnarok at all so Ive been playing some very poopy games. last night i was cycling through MWII, Madden 23 and Fortnite lmao

Elden Ring is my GotY, but there were a handful of titles I enjoyed:

LEGO Bricktales
The Artful Escape
GoW Ragnarok (although it was less impressive than 2018 imho)

Probably others I'm forgetting, but those stand out in my mind.

Against the storm. Roguelite city builder.

manage a high fantasy village so the rain doesnt kill everyone. Its a struggle, and when your village is finally succeeding and its no longer like being homeless in winter, you won and get to do another run.
Your palace may last forever, but my yurt can go anywhere.

Slice & Dice (PC or mobile indie dice RPG) has been really addictive. I'm now on the harder difficulties and it's ridiculously challengingly.

Tinykin is very fun, very chill. It's a fairly simple puzzle platformer, no combat. Just collect tinykins and employ them to overcome obstacles and solve puzzles. For as basic as it is I found it fun and would recommend if you're looking for something mellow to play. Very family-friendly if you have children about, too.

I very recently started Dead by Daylight. Im not good yet Haha. I just finished Scarlet not too long ago. Started Crisis Core recently. Still got a huge backlog, though

Good to see youre still kicking Ziggi.
No new games. I was trying to enjoy Dwarf Fortress but instead I mostly just lash out at people and act mean bitter since Schmen and I are separated and I probably won't see my daughter for 3 or more years, and I'm just generally a misanthropic bitch who wants to hurt people.

Yea you can make your own Avatar, buy clothes and stuff for it, and there are Classic Capcom games to play for achievements (in the Beta it was only SSFII Turbo and Final Fight, I think)

Playing Cyberpunk 2077 finally. Honestly I love everything about it. I bought it a long time ago and it ran like a literal slideshow on my old computer.

Are you going for a Star Ocean 4/Lymle thing there?

Anyways...nothing great. Thinking back I played Star Ocean 6 in the fourth quarter, replayed Dark Cloud 2 in the third quarter, replayed Dragon Quest 11 some more in the 2nd, and played through FF7Remake in the first. That was about it, I think. SO6 is...OK. Dark Cloud 2 has some fun parts, but the plot is written for 8-yr-olds. DQ11 is great, albeit no longer new. Remake could have been great, maybe, but they just couldn't resist the temptation to ruin it.

Vampire Survivors is one of the very, very few video game impulse purchases I've made, and I regretted absolutely nothing about the decision. It's just way more fun than it has any right to be and an astounding value.
