2 New Story of Seasons, and 2 New Rune Factory games announced!

Poll of the Day

RF5 felt like somebody tried to make a cheap 3D clone of RF4. There was a ton of recycled mechanics and designs, populating a world that felt like it was cobbled-together with premade assets, ran very poorly, and had none of the depth and charm that made RF4 one of my favourite games ever. I had enough fun with it that I don't regret playing it, but I dropped it pretty much as soon as I finished the main story and the postgame content, relationships, and long-term farm management failed to hook me in. The pacing was super weird, too, given that I dropped it around Summer 10 of the first year (beat the final boss on like Summer 6 or 7).

that's the main major issue with rf5, it's a f***ing slog to play because it's so f***ing slow on hardware they obviously do not know how to develop for.

It's a lot more than that. The performance is inexcusably bad, certainly, but it's far from unplayable and the game's issues go well beyond a few stutters and annoying load times.
