First episode was cool with a twist and whole new direction at the end . I enjoyed the fight in the second episode

At first I thought it was gonna be another retelling but the first episode is a bit of a fake-out

Was waiting for this for years now immediately deflated to hear they simply could not just adapt the fucking comic. Just do it normal before fucking about with "what ifs" it ain't hard!

I also was surprised it wasn't another 1:1 adaptation and changed things up, I feel it made things more fun see the characters recontextualized but I was also a bit disappointed we didn't get to see iconic moments animated.

also a little disappointed Stephen doesn't end up with Joseph, that was one of my favorite moments in the comic that came right at the end.

Yeah but this would have been the 3rd time we see the story adapted.

I enjoyed it and liked seeing the characters in new scenarios and interactions but I also wouldn't have minded another faithful adaptation in this style. I read all the comics beforehand ready to compare and contrast stuff and was hoodwinked

Also I was glad to hear the mini-boss theme from the game in the last fight
