Leap for joy.

That might happen this month. I am in the midst of finally completing the finale for a fiction-writing project. I anticipate to be done by month's end. Hopefully, the web-development class that I've figuratively hoisted onto my shoulders won't interfere with that work too much. Although, I confess that if I prioritize professional development courses more than I do the only thing that really gives me any joy these days, I must rethink what I aim to do with the next decade of my life. That said, I am not typically physically expressive of my emotions, negative or positive, so leaping as a result of a surge of happiness is a possibility that is far-off, I am afraid to say. I am aware, though, that it is only an expression, one born possibly of the fact that I unnecessarily mentioned leap days in my announcement, and the fact that another leap day is due in about twenty-seven Earth days.

Oh, very nice. I've sadly been taking a short break from my biggest, current writing project between my full-time job and my gaming backlog, but I'm getting back into the revisions and writing this month. What's the story you're writing based on or about?

Yes, I figured a lighthearted joke based on that would have been a fine touch. I might be addicted to wordplay.

(...And I just pictured so many family members, friends, FC-mates in FFXIV, and coworkers looking at me like I understated the obvious.)

OK? Where's the embarrassment? Love what you love, yo.

Meanwhile, I've been working on a long fanfiction based on Touhou Project, with 14 major plot arcs and 2 crossover events working like an anthology. When it's done, people can follow any number of those major arcs (by chapter name) and the relevant crossover event ( the shogi match on the moon for Yukari, Tenshi, both Reisens, Sumireko, and Mima, and the Avengers level climactic battle for everyone BUT Mima, Reisen II, or the Lunarian sisters ) without losing too much reference as to what's going on. Once the script is complete, or close to it, I need to start illustrating, as well as finalizing some of my character designs ( future iterations of Marisa and Remilia, as well as OC Danuja, and my own iterations of Sasuke Rin and Iwanagahime ). It's a lot of work, and going deep AF into canon lore and character personalities helped make it take longer.

Ha...
