Though I've always found it funny that RoboCop has a doctorate in Art History and has taught college-level classes on Ancient History (and worked on various historical documentaries).

Brian May of Queen has a PhD in astrophysics. His thesis was titled "A Survey of Radial Velocities in the Zodiacal Dust Cloud".
Reminds me of how it always used to blow people's minds that the lead singer of The Offspring had a Masters degree (in Molecular Biology). He's actually upgraded it to a PhD since then.
His thesis was "
