I had it for about 2 years then they started raising the price and I got rid of plus the value compared to the annual membership costs didn't add up once I did the math. To me it's a ripoff but for those who like it, good for you.

For the amount I use Amazon the cost of Prime isn't worth it to save on shipping.
No locked doors, no windows barred. No more things to make my brain seem SKARD.

I dropped it recently. The only reason I signed up in the first place was for the 2 day shipping, and now it's "2 days after they get around to shipping it" not 2 days after you ordered it. And half the time they can't even get that right. The last item I ordered using Prime took nearly a week to arrive.

And Amazon REALLY sucks to shop without Prime because you can't swing a dead cat without "Are you suuuuuuure you don't want to sign up again?" all over the damn place.

I've never ordered anything I need in less than a week. I almost always order larger orders, that fully qualify for free shipping, and I just defer them off for a week and get them for free.

Things like Prime TV and free subs for Twitch aren't inducements either, because I hate both of those things.

At least you have recourse if they fail to deliver it on time as part of the contract. oh wait they got rid of that and now just tell you to wait a few days before letting them know they can cancel the order

As much as I use it, it ends up paying for itself. It's great. Prime Video is great too.
I love Lord Jesus, Family Matters (for Steve & Laura which I typed up a beautiful alt from Just One Date episode) and FFIX (for Zidane & Garnet).

These days I only use the free months that I'm offered like once a year, and even then only in the end of November to do all my holiday shopping. I have not paid for Prime since they added a ton of bells and whistles I don't care about and raised the price far beyond what I'd conceivably pay on shipping through the year (assuming I did even that).

It definitely lost some of its value when the jerkoffs decided to be like Hulu and put ads on Prime Video.

But I still keep it for 2 day shipping and video access. Not sure if I also need it, in order to use the visa card. But I like the visa card rewards, and I shop a lot on Amazon, so it's still worth it to me.

If you have the Prime Visa credit card, you don't need Prime to keep the card, but you'll go from 5% back to 3% back.

I do. I had it for a while now My family also uses it, though So, it helps quite a bit. And we all have chipped in to pay for for it I still remember when I use to get stuff first day without having to pay for it Back when barely anyone used it

I get same-day or next-day free shipping, which is amazing. I actually feel a bit guilty how easy and inexpensive it is to have people deliver anything I want right to my door so quickly. (I'm right now eating Big Turk candies that I ordered after reading the thread about it less than 24 hours ago.)

Nah, not into streaming services and even selecting free shipping at checkout I usually get my stuff in 3-5 days anyways. So not really worth it.

Plus I am one of those weird people who still primarily uses Amazon for physical books just because it is easier/cheaper than trying to get it at Barnes & Noble or something.

I let it expire earlier this year when they decided to raise the price again. Wasn't using it often enough to save money on it anyway. Really only used it for prime video.

why is it delivered by USPS if you ordered it from amazon? I wouldn't expect much better from Canada Post (who will inevitably refuse to leave it at your door and just tell you to pick it up from the post office and that they will destroy it if not claimed within ~2 weeks).
