I think Aliens has become more iconic. It has the colonial marines, the queen, the power loader.
They mostly come out at night, mostly.
No locked doors, no windows barred. No more things to make my brain seem SKARD.
Look at Mr. Technical over here >.> -BTB

They're both great for what they are. One is horror and the other is action. Would depend on my mood, but either is a good watch.

alien was so much more terrifying. both are great but the first one is such a perfect horror movie. idk what it is about horror and space but that combo hits me good. that said, i don't blame people for preferring the second one. it's pretty much the perfect space action movie. crazy how right these two were and then all the sequels were so divisive and questionable.

I like Alien more. The set design and atmosphere really sell it for me.

Aliens is probably more fun, but its not as well made as the first

I watched Alien 3 once upon a time; it was okay. Never got into the series though.

I don't know anything about Aliens.

It's not the worst one, but the ones that follow it are all so bad that I understand why you would want to pretend they didn't make anymore after it.

I'm big fan of the original Alien
the sequel felt like your standard James Cameron action movie
Alien3 kinda sucked but I need to watch the Assembly Cut
I actually liked Resurrection, its campy but fun

Alien is the better movie but Aliens is more entertaining.
Saying which one I like more changes how I'm feeling I guess but at the moment I'm going Aliens.

Both are great, but I would give it to Alien just because it was so different compared to the other 70's horror movies. Aliens is, for all intents and purposes, just a standard action movie.

I used to prefer Aliens, but I'm starting to appreciate Alien a lot more recently.

Aliens, but a lot of that has to do with the fact that I'm still blown away by its VFX for the time period. Alien was nice too, but Aliens looks like it could've come out a decade and a half later.
