I don't use a case or a screen protector but I consider smart phones as a 4-5 year electronic consumable+ I have the cash to just buy a new one if I break it.
yeah i'm not the best to ask here, the only thing in the house that has a screen protector on it is my sons switch
i don't like the bulkyness added by a phone case, nor do i like the screen not being flush with the frame of the phone, they just annoy me even though it's really nothing when your finger slides over the edge of one, but it annoys
me
and that's all that matters so i don't bother. it's not usually the screen that breaks on me, anyways.
for instance, my last phone broke after a fall, but what broke was one of the simcard pins inside the fucking phone.
hairline scratches like you're seeing don't bother me too much either. it's gonna happen regardless, and they aren't typically going to actually effect readability. if they were hella bad, like to the point where you could feel them just casually dragging your thumb across, then i'd consider getting a new phone but i don't think that's ever happened with any phone i've ever had tbh
