Anyone with a Pixel 6a know a good screen protector to use from...

I use a microfiber to clean the screen and oh boy, been noticing more and more hairline scratches, only when the screen is off however but there's more of them than ever and longer. I'm feeling very OCD, been trying to get my mom to get one since she bought the phone, but its really time.

I clean the microfiber with soap and water then let it dry pretty frequently btw.

Can I ask, anyone NOT use a protector on their phone and still manage? I just worry it will lead to input delays and such.

I don't use a case or a screen protector but I consider smart phones as a 4-5 year electronic consumable+ I have the cash to just buy a new one if I break it.

I don't have any recommendations but I don't think they have too much of an input delay?

Perhaps the perfect answer? Nothing to fret over if its not causing issues? I mean since I've gotten the phone I've noticed sometimes I need to press or swipe things more than a couple of times, but that's never changed.

They are short, medium, and long hair line scratches, aren't even visible unless under a flash light.

Only had it a year and 4 months, but I hope it can last awhile yet.

I still have a Pixel 3a, never used any case/screen protector, and it's still functional. As long as you're not constantly dropping it or otherwise abusing it and don't mind some minor imperfections that pop up over time the phone should be fine.

yeah i'm not the best to ask here, the only thing in the house that has a screen protector on it is my sons switch

i don't like the bulkyness added by a phone case, nor do i like the screen not being flush with the frame of the phone, they just annoy me even though it's really nothing when your finger slides over the edge of one, but it annoys me and that's all that matters so i don't bother. it's not usually the screen that breaks on me, anyways.

for instance, my last phone broke after a fall, but what broke was one of the simcard pins inside the fucking phone.

hairline scratches like you're seeing don't bother me too much either. it's gonna happen regardless, and they aren't typically going to actually effect readability. if they were hella bad, like to the point where you could feel them just casually dragging your thumb across, then i'd consider getting a new phone but i don't think that's ever happened with any phone i've ever had tbh
