somebody tell me some facts about the newer games I havent played them

Pokmon Palworld is the newest entry and has a creature named Bonerna which is a phallic-looking bone poking out from a half-peeled banana skin

Just say you've only played the early games and you'd love to hear her thoughts on the rest.

This. Half-assedly trying to learn a few things about the newer games isn't going to enable you to hold a real conversation about them, but getting her to share her opinions and trying to learn about the newer games from her is an excellent way to keep the conversation going and show some respect/interest for the things she likes. You don't need to have an opinion on the games themselves to have a discussion, you just need to listen to her and form opinions based on what she says (e.g. instead of "I hear the newest games are a buggy mess," let her complain about how buggy they are, then follow up with "that sounds really annoying, how did they think that releasing that was a good idea?" or something like that).

As a general rule of thumb, learning a little bit about a subject and acting like that will let you hold your own in a conversation about it with somebody who's an expert/enthusiast is just going to end up annoying them because they won't want to be rude by telling you you're clueless, but you being clueless is going to really stifle their ability to talk about something that interests them. Being open about what you don't know and showing a genuine interest in learning does a much better job of getting people to talk about their hobbies.

Where do you find people like that? Everyone I've dated as been kind of boring for the most part. I don't care what you're into as long as you're into something.

See, what you do is get one of the recent Pokemon games and try to play through it. I'd recommend Legends: Arceus, but you'd probably do better asking her for a recommendation. You get to experience it for the first time and she gets to experience it again vicariously through you.
