Already have a PS5 and admittedly the Pro is not at all worth the price but I'm gonna give my nephew my old PS5 and upgrade anyway because fuck it I got money

I haven't been convinced to get a basic PS5 yet, let alone a premium version that charges significantly more for a couple barely noticeable visual improvements that most games are unlikely to take real advantage of.

This might be the first generation I do not buy a Sony console. Don't even feel bad about it. I just think the generation is stale. However, I picked up a series X and I'm enjoying it. Never owned an Xbox console outside of the 360 (for like a week I rented one). Definitely enjoying it.

I only just bought the regular PS5 about 5-6 months ago.

But even beyond that, as far as I'm concerned, if the Pro doesn't come with a disc drive it's effectively worthless.

Yes, I know I can . But then that's just extra effort and extra cost on top of already paying extra for a console that offers nothing of value that I care about in any way. And it rewards the shit mentality that consoles don't need drives. I refuse to play that mug's game.

Fair. I'm happy with my PS5 with a disk drive and hate been sold stuff in parts. IF I wanted that I'd game on the PC.

They just attempted delivery but I'm at work and no one was home to sign for it I'll have to pick it up from my local UPS pickup location later. They still haven't charged my credit card... It says the charge is pending since Nov 1st

Set it up and can confirm that on my 65" TV the "upgrade" is negligible but like I said I don't really care I wanted to give my nephew a PS5 for Xmas anyway

I might move it to my 75" TV to check out how it looks there but I prefer gaming in my office on the 65" and I'm not gonna swap the TVs just wanna see if it makes any difference with the visuals
