Are we talking about those people who are paranoid and hyper vigilant with no actual personal benefit? Because there's a difference between
- common sense knowledge of not reusing passwords, not running random software downloaded from sketchy sites, and using a vpn if needing to use a public network
and
- refusing to use any cloud storage service because "they" are looking at all your files and personally targeting you to steal any and all data about your life, refusing to ever use any application that uses GPS (including Google maps) because you think you're important enough for the company to care on a personal level about your location history.
I guess it's not harming anyone else, so they can feel free to LARP their James Bond fantasy or whatever and I don't care. It's when they try convincing others of the same delusions that it's tiresome. You aren't a world leader. No one gives a crap that your GPS showed you went to the grocery store last night.
Take me for what I am -- who I was meant to be.
And if you give a damn, take me baby, or leave me.
