You know, I watched an episode the other night for the first time in a decade and it really wasn't that bad. I even laughed at a few parts. I don't know, maybe they started to give the characters a little more nuance and character growth in later season? I think maybe the Bazinga phase died out like the "They Killed Kenny" one did in South Park.

Sheldon met up with his brother he hadn't heard from in a decade and realized he had been kind of a selfish dick, and it kinda made me cry a bit

I also appreciated how much (despite still being very rare) that they make Sheldon admit when he's wrong. It makes him a whole lot more likeable
