Way back in the mid 9O's I tried one of their chat rooms and got a lifetime ban from all AOL services. Somebody decided to impersonate me by changing an "l" (lowercase L) into an "I" (uppercase i). The guy went on a big trolling escapade trying to ruin my reputation. About 2 days later an AOL rep called and said they were cancelling our subscription and gave us a lifetime ban. How shitty is that

All they looked at was the chat log I assume and didn't bother to check my IP or anything else.
