Is there a more retconned video game series than Metal Gear Solid? (spoilers)

MGS series spoilers ahead.

Just finished MGSV and found out that there were actually 2 Big Bosses since 1984 and that the fake Big Boss was the one killed in the first Metal Gear. They retconned a boss from a freakin 1987 NES game! This is but one of the maaaany retcons of this series.

Any other game series with tons of retcons?

World of Warcraft recently released a series called Chronicles with the intent to firmly establish many nebulous points that had been retconned, barely mentioned, or outright ignored. Chronicles was meant to be the absolute, 100% baseline lore for the Warcraft universe.

They retconned at least two things in the last Legion patch.
