are any of the modern sports games good?

i know a lot of people love fifa but what about the others? i used to play a lot but haven't bought one since the ps3 days except for madden 16 which still felt the same as ps3.

i was really big in nba 2k but haven't bought one since 2k14. 2k11 was the best one IMO on the ps3 and then they kept getting a little worse each one but were still pretty good. was 2k18 an improvement? i was considering 2k19 when that comes out.

i haven't played nhl in like 10 years. how are those now?

what about baseball? i haven't owned a baseball game since ps2. the only one i have now is ken griffey jr baseball on n64 and that's been my favorite one.

could add in the WWE games. i haven't played since 2k13 but pretty much everyone on the ps3 felt pretty much the same so i lost interest in those.

NHL games are great if they're your first one. like any other sports games, they all feel the same after a while. but the NHL games introduced a good new control scheme that was really hot shit for a while

when did they do that? i have NHL 08 i think. but don't think i really played any since. i did like how it controls from what i remember.

MLB the Show has always been good. Online play is amazing. The pitcher vs batter battles really mimic real life strategies and mind games. Pitchers mix up speeds, locations, pitching in the strike zone or outside of it, using different types of pitches with different movement. It all happens so fast, batters have to predict what the pitcher will do, and wait for the right pitch just like in real life.
