I never would have guessed it as I'm 6'0 and at 143 lbs. I eat pretty healthy. Don't drink soda, juice, etc... Mainly just water and coffee. Well... Maybe beer was my problem. I eat healthy too, or so I thought. I don't like sweets so I've never had a problem not eating desserts or candy. And nobody in my family has or had a history with diabetes. Idk, I just need to vent/complain since I enlisted in the Marines and this will surely get me disqualified from enlisting. I haven't heard anything yet, but these numbers are very discouraging

On the flip side I guess I'll have more time to brush up on my photo shop skills

I guess the moral of the story is, even if you think you're healthy, always keep up on your health. Check ups and whatnot. If it weren't for the urine analysis part on my physical I would've never known or tried to check it out.
Type 1 or 2?
I'm sorry, but 10,000 of ANYTHING on a PS2 would absolutely destroy your framerate. It'd be like playing chess through the mail. ~johnboy1

Well I haven't actually heard anything from anyone yet, but if I know how to use Google and read those results correctly then it looks like type 2. On the results it says gestational diabetes but I can't find anything on that manifesting in men.
Oh shit, I'm sorry to hear about that. I just did my blood work yesterday for the first time in several years. I hope nothing bad is discovered from it.

I'm 5'11" at 188lbs though. I'm overweight counting from BMI, and I really should change my current lifestyle. I go out to eat a lot more than normal and I don't actively work out. I am active in a way though since I work in a warehouse in this dead ass heat of summer, and I walk at least 7k-10k steps a day depending on the work.
My sig is here. Yup.
Weird. Wouldn't expect type 2 in someone so thin and healthy. On the other hand, type 1 would typically show up at a younger age than yours. There are exceptions in both though. I'm type 1 though, so what do I know?

That sucks bro. If you caught early at least you can manage it from becoming rapidly worse I would imagine.
I don't know my gimmick
"Does that sound reasonable to you?"
Diabetes runs in my family, so it's only a matter of when to me tbh
Well that's some shit
Man that really sucks :(((
she's a killer queen
With a fasting glucose of 84? What did you eat to make it go over 200?
Type 1 here for almost 20 years now. If you need someone to talk to about it I'm here

Well hopefully all goes well for you. Fortunately it's a case by case thing it seems, so even if the conditions are optimal you could be good

It's pretty bizarre. I could be wrong and be type 1. I'm no medical expert. I just used Google haha.

Thanks. I'll have no problem staying healthy. I enjoy living an active lifestyle and I'm not too picky about what I eat. I'm just bummed that this is going to prevent me from serving.

I didn't even know I was diabetic so as long as you're on top of it, it can't be that bad right?

Well they gave me that syrupy glucose drink.
do you eat a lot of wheat?
Thanks everyone. Make sure to periodically check up when you can/if you can. Sometimes it just can't be helped I guess

No, but I eat a fuck ton of rice and other carb heavy dishes like pasta. That's probably where I went wrong.
6 and only 143 pounds?
too crazy for boys town, too much of a boy for crazy town
Type 1 for 14 years (25 currently).

I'm actually not the best example of a responsible diabetic, so don't really take any of my advice, but I'm here as a support system should you need it.

Yeah, I've always had issues with my weight. Gaining weight to be specific. Throughout high school I was around the same height and in the 110s.

unless you eat some of those special non-wheat pastas or vegetable pasta then yes youve been eating a lot of wheat then.

stop eating wheat, and maybe youll end up healing yourself, just try it.
Yeah, I found out this morning, so I've had some time to readjust and plan my new diet.

Thanks. My recruiter said I won't be classified as diabetic unless I test twice and have similar ranges. I'm not sure how true that is, but if that's true then I can turn things around and hopefully still enlist
