I was cooking some sweet potatoes and grating nutmeg over them and then just fuck it and threw it in the pan to cook with yams. Figured it'd work just as fine as grating it. I guess the nutmeg made it into my bowl when I was serving it and I ended up eating it.
Like, I took a bite of yams and noticed I was chewing the nutmeg too. It was pretty soft because it got cooked with yams so I said "fuck it" again and continued eating. Then my mouth started to tingle so I googled to see if nutmegs are safe to eat. In retrospect, that would've been good to know before hand. My dumb ass didn't know you aren't supposed to ingest nutmegs because it's a dangerous hallucinogen. Fuck.
