What vidya games currently occupy your free time, and how's that going for you?

I've recently started playing Star Wars: The Old Republic, even though that's been around for quite a few years now.

Usually I stay away from MMORPGs, though I've decided to give it a shot, since you can pretty much solo almost everything if you wish and ignore the multiplayer aspect, and you don't necessarily have to subscribe to play the game.
Having a jolly good time with it so far.
One time, CE triggered me so hard with their objectively wrong opinions that I accidentally punched myself in the balls.

This... is something that I wish I was aware of before now. Might make me try it.

Anyways, playing the fuck out of Boneworks and still having a blast stabbing zombies in the head with knives or bashing them in the side of the head with a frying pan as I run by them. Glad the developers were diligent in pushing VR forward.
I make a topic in Final Fantasy 12 to ask if Tifa! They said no Tifa. Hardness gone! -gandob
Playing Tenchu 2 and Guardian's Crusade for the nostalgia.

While TOR has basically always been a single player game masquerading as an MMO, nowadays they buffed the NPC player companions up to the level where you probably have to try to die even as you solo heroic quests.

skate 3 is still my main go-to chill out game. i've been trying to figure out how to do backflips consistently for 10 years

spiritfarer, yuppie psycho, rogue legacy 2
Replaying Mass Effect 3, though I have been looking for something else, since I find I've mostly been replaying the same dozen games over the past few years.
I've looked up a few SWTOR videos and articles. Might give that I try, if it's indeed possible to have a single-player experience. Guess I have nothing to lose if I can play it for free, right?

I've been doing Yakuza 0. Also just got finished doing a Yakuza 2 Let's Play and started doing a Ghost of Tsushima one on my YT.

planning to take it easier next league. hopefully it's a mechanic i can ignore a little more than usual. I want to put in some serious work on one of my own projects before I'm forced to go back to working for someone else.
Boom! That's right, this is all happening! You cannot change the channel now!

I downloaded SWTOR recently and kind of enjoyed it, went with a Smuggler for the Rebels or... whatever the ... not darkside guys are called. It's kind of cool how they have the dialogue options and you can actually spec into light or dark side, it's a nice change of pace from other MMOs where you're either pigeonholed into a certain role/archetype based on the faction you join or the faction doesn't really mean anything outside of PVP.

And the combat's a little awkward but still more engaging than most MMOs with being able to take cover and everything >_>.

Besides that, been playing a mix of Runescape, Fall Guys, Baldur's Gate and FFXIV...

Recently finished up Far Cry 5. It wasn't bad, mc should not have been a silent protagonist and the story is largely bad but it was fun to play.

Playing The Surge 2 now, it's interesting so far and I like the directional parries.

You should sub to SWTOR for one month, you'll get preferred status instead of F2P which has a few perks and all of the current expansions are unlocked permanently, not just until the sub ends.

Nothing at all atm. Steam says I've put 1 hour in the last two weeks and that was just farting around in Dark Souls 3.

Playing through Doom 2. I never played this one when I was a kid, so a lot of these levels are completely brand new to me. I gotta say though, I don't like it as much as the first one. There are too many "gotcha" moments where they just suddenly surprise you with a million dudes on all sides and it gets old. Also the city sections are visually some of the worst looking urban levels I've ever seen in a game, lol

Welcome home, shed your skin and expose your bones.
Take my hand, follow us into the black so far that we can't get back.

Enjoying SWTOR a lot so far, more than I expected. Especially since the storytelling isn't nearly as good as KOTOR 1 & 2, but still good enough. I really like how much there is to do, explore, customize and interact with.
Watching those tutorial vids from Swtorista helped a lot:

Still playing free-to-play, but I'll probably subscribe for at least one month once I run into significant restrictions.

i committed to replaying through the Mass Effect series a few days ago on PS3 while my PC is inoperable and i'm waiting on the replacement mobo, since they are some of the handful of games i still own for the PS3 and since i have the DLC for 3 but never played it.

You should definitely play the Citadel DLC for ME3. That's one of the few DLCs that isn't just a mediocre cash grab, but it's pretty big, challenging and really enjoyable. Aside from the main quest there's also a bunch of sidequests, minigames and a lot of the game poking fun at itself.

see sig.

enjoying Judgment quite a bit. it's basically Yakuza with a different character (but the story still heavily involves the Yakuza).

SoR4 is still keeping my attention. still sorta struggle on 'Hardest', haven't beaten stage 12 yet. occasionally struggle on earlier stages too.

Playing: Judgment; Streets of Rage 4; Rocket League

Finished replaying Pillars of Eternity & also started Hollow Knight for the first time a few days ago. Can't count how many times I've been like "Ok, I need to go here", only to end up checking out some other path along the way and going through a whole new area. It's been what I expected so far after reading/hearing all of the praise over the years.
EVE Online

Also getting into some co op Risk of Rain 2, it's a good time in short doses.

back in April I started a minecraft server to reconnect with some highschool friends during COVID quarantine, since we used to play together back in like 2011-2013, and I'm really enjoying all the new stuff they've added since then. I'm not always the most creative builder so I like just exploring and finding cool things, and they've really added a lot to cater to that type of gameplay. The Nether update in particular is really fun -- it's a legitimately interesting place to explore now
