So the touch screen actually works, but the screen is dead. So she just got a new phone and she went to log in to her Nintendo account in Pokemon Masters to download her play data, but it says she never linked an account, even though she's pretty sure she did.

Regardless, her account and everything is locked on the old phone which technically still works, but without any way of viewing the screen.

It's not rooted and doesn't have USB debugging turned on. Is there a way to root it and possibly transfer the app's data over to the new phone? Or is this a completely lost cause? She's super bummed out, so I'm willing to try anything if there's any possibility.

they can do it at a repair shop probably, but by yourself you might be sol
can it connect to your pc if so go into the obb files when connected and just copy all the data in there

Can't you just take it to a shop and ask them to copy the data somewhere? Like, instead of trying to do it yourself and accidentally deleting stuff while trying to retrieve it

thats what I did in a similar situation with mine. Only way I could figure out how to get everything transferred.

I thought about this, but I figured they'd want to just repair the screen which would be expensive when she already bought a new phone.

They'd likely be able to just transfer data directly off of the phone?

idk about pop-up shops but I went to my carrier, Verizon, and they did it no problem, took like 3 minutes.
