I mean it depends entirely on your age lol. when you're 25 you might not want people thinking you're 18 but when you're in your 30s it doesn't feel bad when people think you're early 20s

The only downside is when you have people younger than you thinking you're way younger than them and not taking you seriously in certain scenarios.

Before the pandemic, when I was clean shaven I was sometimes mistaken for a teenager or someone in their early 20s

Most recent example was in 2019 when I had two kinda interns (I wasn't their official supervisor but I was the one who gave them shit to do and who they came to for help) who were juniors in college. So I was a full 10 years older than them. They were assigned to a project spanning a couple divisions at work which obviously included people I didn't directly work with. So the first week when I brought them to a manager in the other group for an overview of the project, he started talking to me like I was one of the interns and thought the intern with a beard was the one who worked there.

When I grow my patchy beard that's an abomination, I get mistaken for a Muslim and have had random arabic phrases said to me before I tell people I don't know what they're saying

Also got carded in Dublin at the Guinness brewery when I was with one of my grad school friends (she was from Ireland) but I was 25 and the drinking age in Ireland is 18 so the age difference wasn't as much.

I'm 36, and people still think I'm in my mid 20s. Even with a bald head.
...I think I'm done here...

Oh sure, some 17 year old calls me bro and 27 year old calls me bud when I'm 32.

Is pretty damn great tbh. Not sure why some folks get mad at it. If it continues, I will enjoy being mistaken as a 20 year old at 40, lol.

thats not how it works. Trust me, nobodys gonna be thinking youre in your 20s when your 40 my dude.
somebody thought I was 19 a few weeks ago...I'm turning 30 next month. I like it. i see some of the other people my age looking soooooo old and I still look young. I think it's because I don't grow much facial hair. Also because I stay fit.

most americans are out of shape. that really ages you.

Hence the words if it continues. No need for the overtly negative attitude.
