Which country would you rather move to?

Girlfriend and I are deciding to move out of the US if we can. Neither of us like the direction the country is going and don't have especially deep attachments besides family. Lots of options but its hard to narrow down, Finland seems to be our #1 pick but we haven't gone through all of our options.

Any opinions on these countries we're considering? Anything to keep in mind when immigrating, especially the European countries?

Before you pick countries you should look at visa requirements etc to see if there's a remote chance of you even getting in. That might narrow things down.

You can't really just choose to live somewhere and then just go.

This is true, we plan on doing deeper research on visa requirements. Might be harder for us since neither of us are "professionals"

scandinavia in general is pretty great but good luck getting in its not easy

do u know any languages beside english

id say any of those first 8 choices are pretty good the last 2 not as much they dont have the same health care access

also remember that ireland has driving mirrored if thats a consideration its not an easy transition

Finland - Too close to Russia
Sweden - Too north
Denmark - Not a bad choice
Netherlands - My choice - I think Amsterdam would be a pretty cool place to live, or live near. Plus, on the water, in the hub of many other countries and more. Very beautiful country.
Ireland - Not a bad choice
Iceland - Too isolated
Germany - I hear the health system isn't exactly great here
South Korea - Too strong of a culture difference
Thailand - Too strong of a culture difference
Vietnam - Too strong of a culture difference

definitely stay away south korea or vietnam unless you can seamlessly pass for a local, otherwise you're literally choosing to live as a second or third-class citizen

Probably Ireland for me since Irish is my main ethnicity and I have work experience relevant to their critical skills list.

Id definitely want to visit on vacation first before committing to it however.

Otherwise Netherlands probably. Also look into Belgium and Luxembourg if you're considering the Netherlands.

Oh yeah maybe check out New Zealand. Heard it's great there and they speak English.

Probably denmark or netherlands. Ireland is also rather behind the other advanced countries when it comes to stuff like racism and violence, including only allowing abortion a couple years ago.

Belgium is on our list but there's not enough poll options. Think we'd rather try another country before New Zealand

Disregard those countries and move to Bhutan instead. It has a dragon on its flag, which puts it above every other country.

I have been told I have German features, so it might be easy to fit in there. People have also though I might be Swedish based on my accent and blonde hair.
