Gonna watch a bunch of movies this Halloween with the gf, but we need some recs. Hard to find good horror movies that don't have sex scenes. We really loved Insidious, The Grudge and The Conjuring so those are good to start on. Supernatural stuff seems to be our jam.

The Thing is the best horror movie of all time.

As Above/So Below is actually quite decent.

The Descent (there might be some making out flashbacks, iirc)

Exorcist 3

Alien

10 Cloverfield Lane

It's technically the second movie in this universe, but I feel like it stands on it's own. The only thing you need to know from the first movie is that some bad stuff is going on in the world.

We're also not looking for anything with too much gore, but at least in my personal experience the especially gorey stuff also comes with sex scenes. One of my fav movies is The Thing, but with the gore and animal violence thats not the most comfortable movie to watch,

yes. horror movies are generally supposed to make you feel freaked out and uncomfortable if they're being at all effective, why is a juxtaposition between a good thing and a bad thing any different in that respect
