Things I remember from that cartoon.

The alien that wore a trench coat and goggles that was like backwards knee joints.

The blob thing that goes in Jays body and pops out of his neck to talk.

Banging intro. Also prefer the more mature tone of the animated show rather than the comedic live action, which is kinda ironic
