Wait, Monster Hunter Rise is coming to PS5?

I will mindlessly throw money at Monster Hunter, even though I played the hell out of Rise on the Switch. But it was so ugly on the Switch, with terrible frame rate. It'll be great to replay this game at a silky smooth frame rate.

Are there any other improvements to this rerelease?

Any Monster Hunter bros here getting it?

I feel like these days Monster Hunter is one of the few video games that give me pure unadulterated joy.

I'm getting it even though I didn't really care for it but a lot of the things I hated about it will be improved on the PS5 like the frame rate namely

Yeah, it was pretty damn rough. Very ugly on the Switch, but it was still crack just because it was Monster Hunter.

PS5 and xbox series s/x users have the option of playing in 4K 60fps or 1080p 120fps, so that is nice.

Yeah, I was gonna' get it on PS5 since I only ever played monster hunter rise on the switch for no more than 2 hours I believe. I was playing other stuff at the time and was still on a little monster hunter burnout from having played like 2K hours of world+iceborne.

Still not really sure if I plan on dumping that many hours into PS5 rise though....there is so many games releasing in that time frame that I am checking out, and I also planned on trying out that one hunter game in february called wild something-or-another, lol.

I see a lot of people mad that saves don't cross over, but that doesn't bother me at all. I love restarting on Monster Hunter games. Every new weapon I main gets its own character. What would I do with a save file that already did a bunch of end game content? I'm excited to start a brand new character.
