I'm going to Texas for the first time and don't really have a plan as far as sightseeing. It'll also be the biggest city I've been to.

Any tips or warnings I should know about?

I already got pissed off and regret planning this trip. I haven't even left my city yet and humanity is pissing me off. I really decided to go to fucking Texas .

I'm not traveling anymore after this.

Florida is a bigger shithole tbh
The DFW complex is like any big city complexes around but with shittier drivers. If you are driving, make sure you have great insurance and a camera.

In Dallas you'll definitely get to see a lot of shit being built or torn down, the construction in the medical district, Harry Hines has been on going for the past 15 years with no end in sight, avoid the cops if you can, they are racist as hell,I mean really racist and if you're trying to be naughty don't do it here, in Texas that shit is a felony and you will go to prison for it, strip clubs are a rich man's game, the girls there want like 400 dollars before they'll even talk to you, food, gas, clothing and medication are all expensive as shit too because corporate loving government loves letting them just price up shit for no reason, finally if you ever venture out of the city like say going to Desoto you'll see tons of highways and run down places alongside schools, hotels and distribution centers
A worthless existence
Thanks for the tips. I'm really nervous and stressed. It's my first time traveling with a friend and I'm just imagining it being shitty.

Dont go in with that kind of mindset. Dallas really isnt that bad some of the descriptions in here are making me laugh tho way overboard on the hate.
My stress is more towards something going wrong with the rental or the travel itself honestly. I'd be lying if having 2 muslims and a black atheist didn't contribute a little bit though.

This is a big motivator now. As a KC native, I need to put this Texas bbq to the test!

For real, this. I did a trip to Texas with a group of friends a few years back. Did Dallas/Arlington, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. Other than a few planned ball games, we winged it.

For Dallas, we spur of the moment decided to check out the JFK stuff. It is legit fascinating to be able to view the layout in person and visualize where everything seems to have occurred. They have a museum in one of the nearby buildings as well. I highly recommend checking that area out. It can last a few hours to take it all in.
