It does, but it's the easiest thing to get and requires no work
Not changing this signature until Beyond Good and Evil 2 is in my hand.

Complicated question because a release of Persona 3 called FES had a new chapter called "The Answer" but it was not greatly received and isn't part of Portable to save space.
There's no significant content you can miss in Portable by not maxing social links.

Yeah, the game basically says "do you want the good ending or the bad ending?" It's super easy unlike getting the True Endings of 4 and 5
