MiniSNES > MiniPS1.

MiniSNES had many hits. MiniPS1 had FF7 and Ridge Racer...

The PSX was a perfect storm combination of japanese developers being in a period of heavy experimentation with the advent of 3d as well as japanese publishers being way more liberal with the types of games they tried translating for the west. Combine that with big western-borne AAA development cycles still being very far off and you have probably the most exciting and interesting time in video games ever.

Even carried by nostalgia, I cant think of any games for PS1 that Id enjoy playing today that dont have Final Fantasy, Resident Evil or Dino Crisis in their names.
In the Hunt always need more love.
It was basically Metal Slug with a submarine, but overlooked because it was not 3D.

To be fair there are a lot of games that still hold up, but nowhere near the amount that the SNES has.
If you had said PS2, I might have called it a 50/50.

PS1 though? lol. SNES shits all over it. PS2 is the only console that comes close library wise.

Dragon Ball Z 2 for the Super Famicom is one of my all time favorite fighting games. Esp in 1993 where the chief competition was Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat. I beat all my friends at it.

Afterward, I was disappointed by every DB sequel I came across.

Might have the best library of games overall of all consoles I have owned. Xbox 360 might be 2nd. I had over 200 PSX games by the end of it.
Every day I wander in negative disposition, as I'm bombarded by superlatives, realizing very well that I am not alone.

But how many of them hold up?
They're both equal to me.

Read this topic as past tense, but I have no idea unless I go back and play them again. I'm more thinking what had the best library at the time of its generation, so I'm going by memory from 25+ years ago.

Another thing that sticks was it was my first 3d console, I remember vividly the first time I played games like Resident Evil. I got a 3do about the same time, I never owned a N64.

I beefed up ss4goku, vegito and cell by jamming a needle in my controller and leaving my ps1 on for 3 days. The ok button kicks so I had 3 level 70 kickers.

Every function other than kick was weak as hell but my kicks were 1 hit ko. Nobody wanted to challenge me.
