They are pretty strong, so I was thinking what if it smells us cooking steak and decides to tunnel through our ceiling? Anything I can do to protect myself? :/

Weird thing is he used to have a little Yorkie up until pretty recently. We actually met him because she got off her leash and ran into our garage shortly after we moved in. Hope that doesn't happen with the pitbull lol

Yeah my apartment complex gets pitbull ceiling tunnelers all the time. Happened on thanksgiving last year actually, family of 5 sitting down for a nice family meal and a 100+ pound behemoth pitbull just crashed down from the heavens right onto their table. He ate his fill without even touching the thanksgiving meal on the floor.

Just start adopting toddlers. When it burrows through your ceiling (not if, when), it will become distracted by its natural prey, giving you time to escape.

There's often a weight limit for dogs. Gets around banning a specific breed which is illegal is some places.

Happens all the time dude. My friends dad had to get special ceilings installed that are made of tungsten- and even that only slows down the beast when it hears the laughter of children downstairs.

1-45 lb weight limit on average. can get a small dog to a smaller medium dog.

My neighbor has a pitbull mix. Looks slightly larger than a French bulldog tho so not scary to me
