Our june bugs were out in April when it was rainy and have been gone ever since.

Actually, that one isn't just bad naming. October was the 8th month on the ancient Roman calendar (10 month calendar). The months got pushed back when they changed to a 12 month calendar and they never fixed the naming.

Sounds like bad naming to me. Same thing essentially happened when people settled on the name June Bug
