  • Fragile economies
  • Tight unit variety
  • Plenty of places to invest apm
  • Because of its control jank, you have lots of small skirmishes instead of death balls
I just want more games like this. Slow rts is boring. Give me a quick game and go next

Games are too long, too easy to protect villagers, dark age means nothing, and team games are too common. Also 90% of the tech tree is identical.

That being said, aoe2 IS a good game. It's just not as good as brood war.

I enjoy frozen throne, but it's not something I enjoy as a multi-player experience. I feel like it was a major divestment from the classic rts formula into something less active and more deathbally but control centric.
