Hell yeah, this is what I need. Hard to find bands like Fall of Troy without falling into stuff that's a bit too "metal" for me. Thank you!

word. yeah doppelganger is a 10/10 album for me and its hard to find anything like it. like you said, anything that comes close usually gets too heavy for my tastes.

I dont think theyre notably more Jesusy than a lot of bands in this genre tbh

Ive never really been into the Deftones, but Ive heard Tom from FoT talk about how much they influenced them.

For real? I don't listen to a lot of post-hardcore, so this is coming as a surprise to me.

I know a lot of metal bands fall into that subset, but thankfully you can never understand what they're saying so it doesn't effect me, hahaha.

deftones are the shit
lots of post hardcore acts that lean on some of the sound they popularized
