From Associate to Senior Associate at a big 4 firm (Audit). Don't know the pay increase, but glad to finally get this promotion. Hopefully, busy season isn't too rough!!!

They could have given you the promotion effective immediately. They are doing as little as possible to keep you complacent.

No, I'm not butthurt from my last promotion that was effective 3.5 months after being approved. Why do you ask?

As for my promotion, this is just how it works. Promotions are effective January 1st or July 1st of whatever year.

I mean, they write the policy. They could do whatever they want. It's not like they only hire on Jan 1 and Jul 1.

But congrats either way. 1 month delay is quite reasonable.

TC didn't say there's no increase, just that they don't know what it will be yet.

Yeah, I'm trying not to put a number in my head just so it won't be disappointing if it's not that number.

They have a pretty structured pay based on line of service/geography/title, and there's an excel sheet, so I have a rough idea, but again, don't want to overhype anything for myself.
