Would you consider FromSoft a triple a developer?

I'm not talking about quality of games cause we know they deliver. I'm asking if FromSoft has made a big enough name for themselves that their games can pull in call of duty or Blizzard entertainment game numbers or like other big studios.

Looks like armored core 6 isn't as successful and more of a niche genre as with most of their earlier/other games. Obviously they have the Soulsborne series, with 2 hit games and one megahit in terms of sales number. Are they considered a triple a studio?

they are my favorite, but i dont think they move enough copies to be "AAA"

iirc, it's based on a game's budget and profile.

so, something like Elden Ring would be AAA, but a smaller FS game might be AA, if it had a smaller budget, was less marketed, and so on.

Do we want to act like FS is some small Indy company to differentiate them from the head honchos such as Capcom and Square? To make them look more appealing or something? You can be an AAA company and not be a scumbag company at the same time.
