My dogs can tell when Im hurt or upset. The older black lab particularly.

Dogs spend all day watching humans. Most of how they communicate with us is through body language.

when i get a cold my dog sits around me and follows me around a lot more. not in a begging for something type of way, she just shadows me. she doesn't know i have a cold, but she knows i'm not as well as i normally am.

My parents had a Chihuahua. On Dec 20th, 2017 I got a call from my dad a little before 5 AM saying that my mother was unresponsive. I ran next door to my parents' house and find my mother in the bed and her skin is purple, my dad is sitting in his wheelchair, and their dog was sitting on my mom. I didn't feel a pulse, but immediately called 911. When the paramedics came I had to hold the Chihuahua because he didn't want them to go near my mother.
