Looks 3/4 thick, probably weighs over 3/4 lbs assuming its a little bigger than a choice one. If it aint bigger than a choice one then definitely aint worth $55/lb.
Precut steaks in general are a suckers game, as theyre never thick enough. I only buy steak when I can get a large slab to cut them thick from. Its sometimes cheaper per pound that way anyway.
If we go out for a a steak dinner, as a family of 4, it comes to about $125 plus tip, for four 3/4 Choice steaks. I can buy a Prime subprimal cryovac ribeye at Sams (we dont have a Costco, unfortunately) for about $270, and cut at least ten 1 1/2 Prime steaks from it most likely.
